I live by three main themes. These ideas lean on each other and overlap to help create a simple and sustainable lifestyle.
The greatest wealth is health – virgil
I truly believe that life is a gift and that there are so many amazing experiences that we can have on this earth. However to fully enjoy all that life offers we need to have a healthy, happy body that is capable of not just making it through the day but thriving.
Man sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health – dalai lama
Life needs balance and so does our diet. I strongly believe that food is supposed to be enjoyed! It is with us in every aspect of life whether we are celebrating or commiserating. We have cake at birthdays, a big traditional meal at Christmas, food at wakes, barbeques in the summer, banquets for award ceremonies, date night pizza and late night ice cream binges when we’re stressed (just me?)! I believe that we can and should enjoy the food in our life and make it work to fit our goals in a sustainable way.
Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You – Dr. Seuss
There are so many one size fits all plans out there and it is so frustrating! We may have a lot in common but we are all individuals. For some people a strict, one size fits all, limiting diet will work, however for most people it will be intuitive eating and lifestyle habits that make the biggest difference in the long run.
Everyone needs to have their own health journey. I’m here to guide you, help you and use my expertise to make it as simple and sustainable as possible, for you!
